Mission brawl leads to severed finger

A fight in the Mission early this morning ended with one of the men involved biting another man’s finger off, police said.
The gruesome incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the 3100 block of Mission Street. After severing the 27-year-old victim’s finger, the suspect took off on foot, according to police. He is believed to be about 30 years old.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
